Yeppers. Another filler pic. Lemme explain this one; I'm doing this ginormously huge project in art. It's eating up my life right now. We have to write and illustrate a children's story. These are two of the characters from it. (I still haven't come up with a title...) Tannax is the boy, and Jax is the girl.
This one was really fun to do, firstly, because I love the characters, (especially Oren, the thief in the poster, he's my baby) and secondly, because it was extremely random. I think I'm getting better at coloring guys! Finally...
Sketch from sketchbook colored and inked in photoshop. Yep.
EDIT: Quick-fix to the archway. I'm such a dumbass, I forgot to do like, half of it. Not the best job fixing it, but what the hell.
This is a really cute scene, and I like your colors. I think they're well done and very vibrant. (perfect for children, but they work all around) Your backrounds might do well with a little more work though. I'm not sure what they're standing next to/under, and judging by the position of the horizon line there should be some bit of underside to the arch being shown. (I honestly doubt it's the case, but if you need a little crash course in perspective I wouldn't mind typing one up real quick.)
But still, very nice overall. (better than I could pull off at your age for sure. ) What's your kids story about?

Oh no, believe me, I know all about perspective. I had to go through weeks worth of both 2 pt. and 1 pt. perspective in art. I didn't realize that I forgot that part of the archway! OMG, I'm so retarded. It was there, believe me, I just forgot it when i colored the pic. Now, to fix that...
^^ I figured as much. I remember learning that stuff in art 1 freshman year, but I thought I'd ask just to be certain. My sister somehow made it through highschool and a number of college art classes having missed how to draw in perspective completely.
My favorite perspective though, aside from atmospheric, is three point. It's just like two point perspective, except the virtical lines have their own vanishing point which is ultra far away. But you likely won't want to worry about that right now. ^^
